Israel Gaza Conflict

Washington, D.C.: US President Donald Trump has hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House to discuss their joint proposal aimed at resolving the Gaza conflict by relocating Palestinians to neighboring countries—a move condemned by many international observers.

The meeting came amid growing violence, with Israeli forces killing 60 Palestinians in a single day on Monday. This escalation follows earlier talks between Israeli and Hamas representatives held indirectly in Qatar to seek a possible ceasefire in the besieged Gaza Strip.

At the same time, tensions escalated in the Red Sea, as Yemen's Houthi rebels damaged another commercial vessel using rocket-propelled grenades. This marks the second attack in two days, posing threats to international maritime routes.

The Gaza Health Ministry reports that at least 57,523 people have been killed and 136,617 wounded in the conflict. On the Israeli side, the October 7, 2023 attacks led to 1,139 deaths and more than 200 people being taken captive.

The international community continues to call for restraint and an immediate humanitarian ceasefire to stop the ongoing civilian suffering in Gaza.
