Israel Kills 60 in Gaza, Claims Senior Hamas Official Among Dead

Major Attack on Gaza City

Israeli forces killed at least 60 people in Gaza on Saturday, according to sources at Gaza hospitals speaking to Al Jazeera. The casualties include at least nine children killed during an attack on Gaza City’s Tuffah neighbourhood.

Senior Hamas Official Reported Dead

The Israeli army said it killed senior Hamas figure Hakham Muhammad Issa al-Issa during fighting in Gaza City. Hamas has not yet confirmed his death.

Strike in Southern Lebanon

An Israeli attack targeted southern Lebanon, killing at least two people on a motorcycle in the village of Mahrouna, according to Lebanese officials.

Casualties Since October 7

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israeli military operations have killed at least 56,412 people and wounded 133,054. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7 attacks, with more than 200 taken captive.
